What Can I Expect During The First Visit

The primary purpose of your first visit is for Dr. Reier to get to know you and your condition. Much like any other doctor's visit, there will be a consultation where Dr. Reier will obtain your health and injury history.   He will ask you questions regarding the reason for your  visit and also gather information concerning your goals and expectations.

Following the consult, you will receive a thorough condition specific examination, inclusive of vital signs, orthopedic and neurological testing to help determine the cause of your problem. Pending the   results of this examination, Dr. Reier may order further diagnostic testing such as x-rays, MRI, and/or blood work.

If he determines that your condition falls within the scope of chiropractic care, he will then work with you to formulate a treatment plan that will allow for you to obtain relief and help get you back to the things you enjoy. If, however, he determines that you're not a candidate for chiropractic care, then he will give you the name of one of the many specialists he works with so that you can get on the road of healing as soon as possible.

Treatment may or may not be administered on the first visit, but you can be assured that you’ll receive a full explanation of what will be done and what you can expect before any therapy is rendered.

Follow-up Visits

We ask that you work with us as a team to accomplish your goals. First, keep your scheduled appointments.  Your schedule of care is designed specifically for your condition.  Missed appointments can extend your treatment time and reduces the potential for recovery.   Secondly, we ask that you follow any instructions and recommendations that the doctor gives you. These are made in your best interest to help you recover faster. Finally, our objective is to get you better as quickly as we can, and provide you the self management strategies that will hopefully allow you to live a healthier life.

Insurance and Finance

Many health plans reimburse for a portion of chiropractic treatment. Due to variations in insurance policies (even under the same insurance company), we recommend that you contact your insurance company or benefits coordinator to verify your policy benefits. Our staff will confirm your benefits, but this does not guarantee payment by the insurance company.

We are preferred providers for most health insurance companies and accept worker's compensation* and personal injury (motor vehicle accident*) insurance. Following is a partial list of insurance companies for which we are preferred providers:

  • AETNA
  • BC FEDERAL
  • BC NATIONAL
  • BLUE CHOICE
  • ALL BLUE CROSS & BLUE SHIELD PLANS
  • CIGNA (out of network provider/benefit)
  • COVENTRY
  • GHMSI
  • MAILHANDLERS
  • MAMSI
  • M.D.I.P.A.
  • MEDICARE
  • ONENET/SELF FUND
  • OPTIMUM CHOICE
  • UNITED HEALTH CARE

For your convenience, we also accept cash, checks, Mastercard and Visa.  Payment plans are available for patients who require treatment but are unable to pay in full at the time of service.

Automobile and Work Related Injuries

If you are involved in a motor vehicle accident or suffer a work related injury, personal injury and worker's compensation insurance will usually pay the care that you require.  Each insurance company has rules that must be followed in order to ensure payment.

If you were involved in a car accident, please bring with you a copy of the accident report and your insurance policy declarations page.

Patients who suffer a work related injury must supply the claim number and insurance company information before they schedule an initial evaluation. Please have this information available when you call to schedule your visit.
